HotSpot Quiz Question

Hello,

I am using captivate 7 to create a hotspot quiz.  I would like to limit my user, and only allow them to make one click per question.  I am providing 4 hotspots with one correct answer, but do not want to allow multiple attempts.  I have the attempts set to 1 under the "action" accordian tab, but I am still able to identify multiple hotspots during the quiz.  Any suggestios, perhaps an advanced action is needed?  Thanks.

Hello and welcome,

That will not be possible with the default Hotspot question slide, but you can create a hotspot question with standard objects. For the hotspots themselves you could use shapes in the form of the hotspot that you convert to buttons. And then you can attach an advanced action to the shape buttons, that disable all shape buttons once there has been a shape button clicked. And  you attach the score only to the correct shape button. Seems pretty easy to do.

That is very helpful.  Thank you.  Do you know if this scoring will still work when reporting to an LMS?  Thanks!

Yes, you can check the Quizzing system variables and Advanced Interaction panel (F8): scores attached to objects are just part of the total score.
