Question

How can I add audio upon quiz entry when using Random Question slides?

When I first began using Captivate, I used to add narration to the first quiz question such as, "Looks like you are ready to take the quiz!". This made the transition into the quiz less abrupt. However, I have recently started using the Random Question slide feature to make sure the quiz questions are randomized. But I cannot add audio to the Random Question slide itself, only to individual questions in the pool.

Ultimately, when the learner reaches the first question of the quiz, I would like it to trigger the narration, despite the fact I am not using Random Question slides.

Thank you for your help in advance!

I would suggest you add the audio to a slide JUST BEFORE the first randomized quiz question and place a button (labelled Continue or Start Quiz etc) on that slide that is set to report to the quiz.  Then this slide will be seen as the first slide in the quiz.  Make it so that your learners must click the continue button on the slide to get to the first randomized question slide.

Rod, thank you for your suggestion. I am aware of the work around, I just wanted to know if there was a different way to accomplish this.
