How can I disable the playback bar on specific slides? (captivate 9)

I really only want the playback bar showing on my video slide so that the viewer can play/pause if needed, but I don't need it on every single slide.

I didn't notice any options in the skin editor to pick which slides it shows on.

Any suggestions?

I suspect you inserted that video as multi-slide synchronized video. Is there any reason why you didn't use event video, which will appear with its own control panel giving control to the user?

You cannot pick slides to show the playbar, you either show it for the project or not. It is however possible to hide the playbar by using the command 'Hide Playbar' which can be triggered by the On Enter event of a slide. Since the real estate needed for the playbar will remain, it will take on the color you specifyfor the Bottom border in the Borders tab of the Skin editor. Playbar will remain hidden until you show it again with the command 'Show Playbar' by the On Enter event for the slide where you want to use it.

The Skin Editor allows you to enable or disable the playback bar for the entire project.

However, once you enable the playback bar, you can control which slides it appears on by using the Show Playbar and Hide Playbar actions, triggered either by interactive objects (buttons) or by On Slide Enter events.

Thank you for your help! I'm a newbie to this program, so I am not familiar with an event video, but I will definitely look into it if it works better for this project! And, yes I am using a multi-slide synchronized video.

When you insert a video, you have the choice between Event video and Multi-synch video. Event video will play totally independent from Captivate. Look at its control panel:
