How can I fix this update error?

I'm getting the following error when trying to run the 8.0.1 updater for Captivate 8:

Insufficient disk space to complete this installation. Error Code: U44M2P31


I have a more than 10 GBs of gig space available.

    Sometimes Windows will only allow installations if there is a given percentage of the total disk space available.

    So when you say you have 10 gigs free, if your drive is 500 gig but Windows is set to keep 10% minimum free then you'd need 50 gig or else you might encounter errors.

    Worth looking at.
