Question

How can I generate a responsive software simulation in Captivate 2017?

Hello, New to Captivate. I am trying to create a responsive project but have had different difficulties in Captivate 2017.

Here's the list:

  1. When I create a new project, I choose the option "Responsive Project". In order to be easier to understand, what I want to do is to make an interactive "video" in Captivate, where end-user has to click the next buttons to proceed.
  2. However, when I click Publish and then open it in a browser, it does not behavior as a responsive project. I mean, everytime I resize window, output is not proportionally scaled. I want to capture screens and publish them as scalable simulations.

When I got the responsive project as I wanted:

  1. I've opened a blank project;
  2. When I clicked Publish I chose the empty format as HTML5 and then I selected the "Scalable HTML content” checkbox.
  3. I've got a scalable simulation as I wanted.

My doubt is: What am I doing is correct? Because I don't know a thing about Captivate, as a completely newbie I've digged on it, so that I found this checkbox in Publish.

I would like that someone who knows more about Captivate would help me in this subject.

Thanks in advance!

I have tried exactly what it suggested in the video and I do have the blue box showing. However, my responsive project is behaving exactly as Camila mentions: it does not resize the software simulation portion for differing screen sizes.
