How can I get a captivate quiz to work with Internet explorer 8 or 9?

I try to run an exported project and get the following error message:  cid:image001.png@01D146C0.AEC953F0

How can I fix this without having to upgrade internet explorer?

    Could you please provide a little more information about this issue.

    What kind of published output are you using?  SWF or HTML5? 

    Are you uploading to an LMS and delivering/testing the content from there?

    I published as an HTML5 and the delivery will be from a pc hard drive.

    Internet Explorer 8 is NOT HTML5 compliant so that is not going to work for you.  IE9 is a little better, but still not great support.  You'd have some issues getting it to work with HTML5.

    Your next issue is going to be that HTML5 is NOT designed to be delivered from a PC hard drive.  You need to be delivering it from a web server.
