How can I get back my default styles for software simulation?

While trying to delete a custom style I some how managed to delete default styles that come with CS9 (even though I hit cancel).  Now when I try to bring up the style settings for a software simulation I do not have any options and if I click create new the software crashes.  Same happens if I click restore defaults.  The software was uninstalled and re-installed but I still have the issue.

All styles (and master slides, and skin) are in a theme. Which theme are you using? There are no 'default styles', each theme has its styles. Can you be more detailed? If you are talking about one of the included themes with Captivate, you are working with those stored in the Layouts folder in the eLearning assets in the Public (Windows) or Shared (Mac) documents. That folder is a copy from the original folder which you can find in the subfolder Layouts in the Gallery under the installation folder. You can set back one original theme by copy/paste to that public folder I pointed out. If you want to reset all the original themes included with Captivate, you can also close Captivate, delete the Layouts folder in the Public documents (NOT in the Gallery) and when you open CP a new copied folder will be created in Public documents with all the original themes.

Thank you so much.  I deleted the Layouts folder in the public documents folder (windows), started Captivate and now I see the recording defaults when doing a new software simulation in the settings.

You're welcome, wished that the instructions for installing a patch were better exposed.
