How can you get Captivate 5.5 to support transparency from imported images?

ABOVE: Above is a published video.  The edges on this PNG are appearing jagged, an undesired affect, which I am guessing is the result of a transparent background around the circle.  Why doesn't Captivate handle or support transparency better?  Should I be using a different file type?  Does anyone know how to resolve this?

ABOVE: This is the imported image before being imported.

ABOVE: Here is how the PNG looks in the Captivate filmstrip preview.

Hello,

What is the slide quality you do use? Since you need transparency, the default Low 8-bit has to be changed to High or Optimized. This can be done on a slide-by-slide base or you can override the present slide quality settings on publishing and have all slides set at that moment to High.

Thank you for the response.  That makes sense.  Unfortunately, our published files are so large (50-100 MB) that we cannot afford to use High or Optimized slide quality which would inflate these numbers even highter.  Each slide is set to Low 8 bit.  The publish settings are set to medium overall.

To avoid this issue, we will opt to not use images with transparency.

You can use transparency if you use GIF images (are 8-bit by default and support full transparency, no partial transparency), and if the fonts are crispy in Low quality.
