I don't fully understand your quesiion If you are talking about a VR project, the only interactive object you can add to a 360 image is the hotspot, which is kind of a button, but with limited actions to be done. What do you mean by 'launch button, please? How did you set up the status of the slide: Guided or not?

Thanks for coming back to me!

So I want the learner to look around a 360 degree image for a button which would start the course.

With hot spots it creates an icon which isn’t what I want – I want to use my own on/off button and once its clicked, audio should play and then move to the next slide…  Kind of like a icebreaker…

The status would not be guided as the learner would get into the mode of having to look around for an item to start the course

Seriously hope that there is something that can assist with that

You know probably that when you publish to HTML AutoPlay is automatically disabled and you have altready a Play icon to start the course. Why would you want another one?  Not very user friendly.

I see now that you are not talking about a VR project but a 360 slide in a normal project. You cannot control how the image/video is showing up at the start if it is not Guided, but Exploratory. You could use a hotspot at the start of the video, let it pop up the instruction that they should look for the start icon. That seems the easiest way to pause at the beginning.
