Question

How do I append an Adobe Color CC (Kuler) theme into Captivate 9?

Maybe I am missing something but I cannot see how to load a theme created in Adobe Color CC into CP9. There is no option in the Swatch Manager to do this that I can see. This was easy in CP8. Am I doing something wrong?

TIA

Andrew

Nothing has changed in that work flow, still totally the same as in CP8. Do

you not see the Append button in the Swatch Manager.

Thanks for your reply. Yes that was the obvious thing to try. The problem is that Adobe Kuler (or rather Color CC) had removed the link to download a theme. Previously I could download the Kuler theme and append to the Captivate swatch. That is no longer possible and is not mentioned in the CP9 help documentation.

Illustrator CC now synchronises with Adobe Color CC themes so my workaround is:

  1. Create the theme in Adobe Color CC and save to my library
  2. Create a new Illustrator document
  3. Delete all the colours in the Illustrator swatch
  4. Copy the theme colours to the Illustrator swatch
  5. Export the swatch
  6. Append in Captivate

It would be good if Captivate synchronised in the same way as CC applications like Illustrator.

The option to download the theme is back on color web.  Hope you find it useful.
