How do I begin using drag and drop? Right now all I have is a blank page.

I keep getting a message to a message error message stating that the  the slide must contain at least two slide items. What is it I need to do to get past this?

    Have a look at this YouTube video (there are many more about the subject): Drag & Drop Interaction in Adobe Captivate 8 - YouTube

    Lynda.com has a dedicated course to Drag&Drop (by dr. Pooja Jaisingh). Drag&Drop objects have to be in place, and from the beginning of the slide timeline before you can use the wizard to create the interaction. Only static, non-interactive objects can be used and they cannot overlap. You can find some more tips (not always in the videos) in:

    Add two slide objects.

    For example, add a couple of text captions.  It wants at least SOMETHING there that you can nominate as a drag object or a target object.
