Question

How do I change a project from English to another language? Will the text to audio work in the other language?

I have a project that we would like to publish in several languages.  It is originally done in English.  It is a training video based on capturing a Captivate file while running our software, and running through a demo.  We also used an import of PowerPoint slides as well in some cases.

Is it possible to generate voice files using the text to voice capability based on the captions used on the pages.  How is the best way to set up the captions on the pages to best generate voice files.  Is it possible to publish in another language?

I've done a fair amount of work in Captivate, but this is the first time I've tried to add audio to my presentations...

Thanks!!

TTS audio can only be generated from the Slide Notes that have been selected as TTS, not from caption text.  If you want the TTS to say the same thing as the captions then you'll either need to copy/paste or retype the caption text into the Slide Notes area and select those lines for TTS, then generate it.

Just want to add, that hearing exactly the same text as you can read on the slide is not considered to be good practice in eLearning (redundancy). That is bit off topic, I know.
