How do I delete a portion of the recorded timeline?

Newbie question (I am trialing Captivate): How do I delete a portion of the timeline I don't want? (For example, I want to remove four seconds from the middle of a presentation where there is no audio or effects in place.) How do I do this without throwing off existing audio and effects elsewhere in the presentation?

It's easy in Camtasia, but it's eluding me in Captivate. Thanks!

Paul

    Welcome to our community

How you do it will depend on how you elected to record your project. Did you record like Camtasia does? Using Full Motion Capture? Or did you record like Captivate works best, on a slide by slide basis?

Oh and one other thing. My crystal ball is on the fritz and my psychic skills aren't up to par so I'm unable to divine the version of Captivate you are using. Can you tell us?
