Question

How do I disable the browser menu on right mouse click?

Hello,

I'm using Captivate 9 and publish to HTML5 for creating software trainings.

In some cases, the user needs to use the right mouse button. When they click on the wrong location, the Failure Shape shows up but also the context menu of the browser. I would like to disable the browser's contect menu when the user right clicks on the wrong spot. I assume this must be possible since Captivate already avoids that menu from opening when the user clicks on the right location.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks!

You cannot usually control the default browser context menus from within a Captivate project.  The browser always gets first pick.

    Hi RodWard,

Actually the Captivate project does take over the right mouse click when the user clicks on a right mouse button click box. So technically it's possible. In theory, I could solve it with adding a click box on each slide, set it to right mouse button and choose 'do nothing' on success. I'm looking for an easier way to do that.

    Thanks,
