How do I eliminate fade in/out between slides in Captivate 6?

I've tried going to the locations suggested under this same topic for Captivate 5, and my settings all seem to be correct.  Fade in and Fade out on first/last slide are unchecked.  Each individual slide has No Transition checked; each individual element also has No Transition checked.  When I view the Master Slide I see no options - I only get the "General" portion of the menu - even when I click on the master slide in the timeline.

I would very much appreciate any help you could give.

Ahh!!

Thank you, Vikram, that was exactly the issue.  It's a new corporate template, with the fade on each slide.

Best,

Richard

Hello,

Glad to know, it worked

If you post is answered, please mark it as correct.

I created a presentation from scratch using version 6 and experienced a similar issue of unintended white fade. The solution for me appeared when I realized that elements within the presentation had their own fade properties irrespective of the project default. I had to dis-enable each of the elements (6 elements per slide / 30 slides). The moral of the story is don't commit unforced errors when the project is initiated. My failure.

Ensure that the last objects on the slide do not have a transition either. That will get the slide to move to the next slide without fading.

Ensure there is not extra length in the Timeline after the end of the last object.

Hello,

Welcome to Adobe Forums.

Do you have Windows or MAC ?

Does this issue occurs on every project or a specific project ?

What the version of Adobe Flash Player you are using ? (http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/)

Did you build/create your project in Captivate 6 or did you import a Presentation ?

Thanks,

Vikram

Hi, Vikram,

Thank you for responding.

My supervisor and I are both having the same issue.  I use a Windows machine with  Windows 7, Office 2010, and Captivate 6.  He uses a MAC with Office 2010 and Captivate 6.

I have Flash version 11,3,300,271 installed; Captivate is set to publish to Flash version 10.  (The issue still exists if I set Captivate to publish to version 11.)

In both cases we have imported a PPTX presentation created in PowerPoint 2010. In both cases we have added in animation slides that pull in SWFs created by Captivate 6 (simulated labs on configuring Ethernet switches).  The SWFs play with no fade-in, but each PPT-generated slide fades in (about 1 second duration) when we click to advance.

Thank you,

Richard
