Question

How do I export closed caption settings or add them to my theme?

We have a theme where we have defined colors, fonts etc.  We want to do the same thing with the closed caption settings.  We want to set them globally and not individually on each project. I have been able to save the Skin Editor settings but not the closed caption settings.  Is there a way to set the closed caption settings, add them to my existing theme and have them accessible to everyone.  Where are these settings stored my computer?  Can I export them and have people put the file on their computers?  We are using Captivate 2017.

You are correct, it should be possible to save those settings as part of the theme. It is logical to have it included. It is not the case at this moment, but I will log a feature request, and it would be great if you did the same. Here is the link to the form

Adobe Captivate

What are the settings that you need?

Closed captions are actually real text, not an image like text captions, so they have CSS attributes and the font is in the CPM.js.

I'm sure that JavaScript could be added to set the captions the way you want.

Thanks.  Just curious. Where is the CPM.js file located.

It's in the assets/js/ folder after you publish.
