How do I fix Captivate-generated handout/storyboard slide image quality?

  Captivate generated handout/storyboard slide image quality is terrible. When our customer is reviewing the storyboards they have trouble reading the text from the images because they are pixelated. One option is to manually get screen grabs but I'm trying to avoid this option because it is time consuming since I have to work with 300+ slides. Is there a way to fix the image quality?

David, just FYI: Flash player will die, but AIR is very much alive and will continue to live. Common confusion.

As for the OP: I always create handouts manually, using an InDesign template. Some of the print default files are dot, which means templates that can be edited but that is not the case for the handouts. Another problem with those word files exists for multistate objects. If you have the same text in many states, that text will appear in the handouts as many times as you have states. FInd it quicker to take snapshots and create a custom handouts file than to edit that word file.

Just wanted to chime in here with a suggestion.

I've never found image quality of screenshots to be a problem with MS Word handout docs generated from CPTX project files.

If the image quality of slide screenshots in the Handout documents is pixelated, is it possible that the original poster is not configuring the Handout documents to allow full size screenshots? 

I never select the setting in the Print options for Handouts to Use Tables in Output, as this shrinks the size of the screenshots, and could be the reason why they look pixelated.

You could manually scale up each picture on the word document and it would be more legible from a size point of view.

Just a note, the output is generated based on word doc files found in the Print Output folder in the Captivate Gallery Folder. It would be nice if they were editable but it appears they are not. You could resize the image size in the template. It may not affect quality but it could be made larger than 282 x 214 pixels which is the current image size. Another suggestions for improvement.

You also could invoke a review process using the Captivate Reviewer tool. You could send out a .crev file.

I guess the question that I have around this is what happens to the Captivate Reviewer feature when air and flash are no longer supported.

That's good news for me (air) since I use the Reviewer quit a bit for client review. I always work with the idea that the storyboard (which I develop in InDesign and distribute as a pdf is signed off) so any changes in production are minor in nature. 

I like your approach for handouts.
