How do I get my learners to type paragraph texts in the text entry box in Adobe Captivate 8?

I want the learner to write paragraphs of content in the text entry box. If I strech the box the cursor goes to the center of the box and only one line can get typed. How do I get this done?

Thanks,

Shital

You can have a scroll bar. But do you need to validate the text? If not,

why not use the Scrolling text interaction? You can allow writing for it.

I need to have them type the text and submit it. The scrolling text does not allow that.

If you select the Text Entry Box field (not the button or the overall object) then look under Properties > Actions > Others you will find a checkbox called Show Scrollbar. (Captivate 9 but all other versions have it too.)

If you select that, your users can input multiple lines of text.

Bear in mind though that there is a limit to how much text your users would be allowed to store in the variable associated with each text entry box, and that limit is usually about 250 characters.

You mention Submitting the text. Where?
