Question

How do I improve the video resolution of a systems demo i published as a video in Captivate 8 and then inserted back into Captivate 8

Hi All

I have created a system demo using Captivate 8. I have edited the captions and timing and published as a video which needs to be embedded as a video in another project which is also in Captivate 8. The issue I am experiencing is that when the video plays in the bigger project the resolution is not great. It is significantly worse than it looks int eh original CPTX file when you view it in a browser.

Is there something I am missing when I am publishing the video or when I am inserting the video? I need to find a way to improve this resolution.

I am really stumped and would appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks.

Leanne

I imagine the video is getting compressed twice, once when exporting as a video, then again after it is published in the next project.

Try making sure the compression is minimal when exporting as a video the first time.

How do I change the compression setting for both the exporting and then publishing in a new project?

The setting are in the publish dialog box when you choose video.

I would save this file and compare it to the output when the second project is published to see if Captivate compressed it again.
