Question

How do I loop my project?

I have a project that I would like to loop once it gets to the end and start from the beginning new.

I used some of the preferences to get it to loop, but the answers are already answered from the previous time through.  Is there a way I can get it to start again "fresh"?

Thank you!

If you are referring to the fact that quiz questions do not allow you another attempt, then you have a couple of choices.

One is to force the user to click a Retake Quiz button on the Quiz Results slide.  But to get the user deposited right back on one of the first slides of the project you will need to place a scored interactive object such as a button or click box there.  If it's scored, then Captivate considers it part of the quiz and will take you there when Retake Quiz is clicked.

Your other choice is to set the Project End option to Load URL or File and point the URL link at the HTM file of the same project so that it reloads itself.  In this way all quiz questions will be automatically reset because a new session has begun.

Hello there,

If you have set the project end option to loop, and the quiz setting to infinite attempts, then it will loop allowing the users to answer it again. They need to hit continue and they will be able to start it all over again. Make sure to hide the review or retake quiz buttons. I tried it locally and it works, am I missing anything from your scenario?

Thanks,

Vish

Hi Vish,

When I do that, the questions show already answered when you loop through the project for a second time.  I would like all of the questions (and whole project - i have a slide where they are to imput their name)  to somehow be "reset" each time it loops.  My first question is a matching question, by the way.
