how do I match audio to a video frame rate?

recorded event at 60 (59.94) fps, with PA music (dancing), track provided said to be the track played does not sync - by a long shot.   In fact seems to be much shorter.  either wrong track, or needs frame rate or Hertz conversion...yes?
