How do I open .cp (CP4) projects in CP7?

Hi,

I have just downloaded CP7 and cannot open any CP4 files (option not in drop down).

    No, Captivate 7 can no longer open files with cp-extension as in CP4. You should have to find 5 or 5.5 as an intermediary step to convert ot CP7.

    There were big changes, starting with CP5 and I'm not sure that converting will go smoothly since you skipped 5, 5.5, 6 and 6.1. And you have to be sure that ActionScript 2 is not used in any of the files, no longer supported.

    Thanks. I had a feeling that was the case. I have access to download 6 on my subscription (will do on another machine) which can do this.
