Question

How do I save files for the internet

Hello everyone,

I am using a trial version of Adobe Captivate 9 for a job interview. Can I upload these files to show on the internet? If so, what format do I save the files as?

Would it be a good idea to bring the Adobe Creative 9 file with me on a flash drive and ask to install the file on their local computer instead?

Once the 30 day trial version is over and the file is no longer accessible, what happens to that file? Will it become accessible again if I purchase Adobe Captivate?

Thank you.

I suggest you publish the project to an EXE, which you can then play off a thumb drive on the client's computer (or your own laptop if you have one).  But since I am also hearing reports of EXE files NOT working if the end user has updated their Flash Player to the latest version then you should probably also publish out to a couple of other formats (SWF and HTML5) as well just in case.

This sounds like a great idea. Thank you.

Hi there

Once the 30 day trial is over, the captivate project file should be easily opened by a registered version of Captivate.

Hopefully the person interviewing you doesn't read the Adobe forums.

Cheers... Rick
