How do I turn off Autoplay?

Using Captivate 8.  My project continues to Auto play even though I have this option turned off in my project preferences.  I use custom navigation buttons.

    Can you explain how you tested? After publishing or Preview in Browser? Normally if AutoPlay is turned off, a big arrow should appear in the middle of the first frame. Do you see that arrow?

    In this article for the movie AutoPlay was turned off, and I put a poster image (different from first frame) in it. Can you see the arrow (it is green)?

    Hmmm, if that's not working you might consider placing a Click Box, Button or Shape configured as a button on the first slide.

    Thank you for your help, Rick! The solution, I put a pause on my each of my custom navigation buttons for 7 seconds to allow the user to control the navigation.
