How do rename a group?

Question

I made a group, and then due to reworking I've added items to it. When I try to rename it the same as my original group, I get a popup telling me this:

"group_name is either a reserved keyword or is already assigned to another item. provide a different name for the item."

"group_name" is the name of my group, of course. How do I kill old group names? Do I have other options besides renaming the group and changing the other advanced actions?

Unfortunately most versions of Captivate 'remember' old names used for objects and you cannot reuse those names again. (I think this issue may have finally been corrected in Cp8.)

In any case, because you made a change to the structure of your group, you may need to use a different name now. And that will probably mean you also need to change any Advanced Actions that referred to that group name.
