How do you turn off the badges for the Community in the ribbon?

Ok, having the community right inside the application is a big deal, and I see the benefit. I'm trying to start spending some time there, both to learn and to share what I know. But now I have a little 1 icon on my Community icon on the ribbon (from a comment a few months back) and I find it very distracting. Is there a way to clear that or turn it off?
