How Does Captivate Close The Movie When the Movie has Finished?

Hello,

I was wondering how Captivate closes itself when the movie is done. For example, if I went to movie --> Preferences and set it up such that on completion, the movie closes itself. When I do that, does Captivate execute javascript to close the movie? What exactly does it do? The reason I ask is because I have a Flash button that opens a published captivate file. Once completed, I want the movie to close without any user interaction. The problem is that I always get "The web page you are viewing is attempting to close the window" and I have not been able to get around it.

If someone could explain how the movie closes, or what I can do to get around that nuisance pop up, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Doug

The problem is with the browser, not Captivate. If your movie is spawned from a "parent" browser window (and that parent window has not been closed), it will work fine and you won't see the pop-up asking if you are sure you want to close the window.

But if the movie is playing in the only open browser window, it is really asking you " Are you certain that you want to saw off the branch you are sitting on?".

    Hope this helps.
