How to add additional sound in a video demo

I have recorded a Video Demo including system audio.

Now I need to add a small audio file in this video, to start after a certain time (the audio file is only 15 seconds and must start after 10 minutes).

Is this possible somehow (Captivate 9)?

Hi ,

Welcome to Adobe Forums,

Adobe Captivate gives you an option to insert a background audio after you have recorded the Video demo.

In order to place it after 10 minutes, you can edit the background audio and insert silence for First 10 minutes.

You may check if it helps in your scenario.

Yes Henrik,

The silence will be for audio which you will be adding as a background so that it shouldn't interfere with the audio which you have as a part of video demo for the first 10 minutes.

Thank you for your answer.

Let me try to explain a bit more detailed:

I have made a Video Demo including system audio. Unfortunately some of the audio is missing, and I need to add these few seconds of audio in the middle of the video.

As you see I cannot add silence the first 10 minutes, as I need to keep the audio in the entire video...

For such a use case I would turn to Premiere Pro. Too bad: it is not possible to use PP on the raw cpvc-file, you have to publish it to MP4 and edit that published file in Premiere.

Another work flow, which I didn't test out (sorry) is to insert the cpvc in a cptx project on a slide (using the Insert menu), then add an audio object at the wanted location. I use the term Audio object for an 'invisible' object that has audio attached to it like a shape without a fill and with a stroke width of 0.

You can publish a cptx project to MP4.
