How to add Closed Captioning to audio not on the timeline in Captivate 9

Hi,

I have had issues with this in the past and was wondering if captivate 9 has resolved this issue.

I have read the previous forum question regarding this topic but that was using captivate 7.

Is there anyway to add CC to audio not on the timeline in captivate 9?

Kind regards,

Frank Godoy

If you are using a custom CC button, not one in a standard playbar, you can create a smartshape with the exact same parameters as CPs CC holder. It's pretty much seamless.

We also can interject Video and Audio CC into CPs native CC holder, but again, you need a custom CC button and an add-in for it to be timed to the video/audio.

If the audio is not on the slide timeline you cannot use Captivate's default CC text implementation.

If the audio is attached to text objects on the slide, then you  could add the transcript as text in those objects so that it then appears at the same time as the audio is playing from the same object.

Where is the audio in your case?
