How to change a quiz response

Hello,

I am creating an online quiz, and I'm having a bit of trouble with something. I would like my quiz to step the user through each question without telling them if they're right or wrong. When they get to the end (before they see their results) I want them to be able to go back and change any answer that they have submitted. I can't seem to figure out how this is done. Once an answer is submitted, it appears to be "locked in". If the user realizes that one of their answers is wrong, there doesn't seem to be a way for them to correct it before the end of the quiz. Can somebody please tell me how this is done?

Thank you.

Jon

Captivate seems to be built around the model that the user takes a quiz, gets a score and that score is submitted to an LMS. If the user doesn't pass, the LMS makes them take the entire quiz again.

With that in mind, there doesn't seem to be any "allow review before submitting all questions at once" option, if that's what you're looking for. Each question is submitted individually before the user can move on to the next one.

This can certainly be annoying in non-LMS scenarios, and seems fairly restrictive even if you do have an LMS, but that appears to be the model.

We are using sharepoint for our LMS. You are right, it's annoying, but I guess it will work. Thanks for the info.

My experience matches with yours. Once an answer is submitted and the user moves off the slide, there doesn't seem to be a way to go back and change the response.

My company develops a lot of adult learning that uses quiz questions as interactive activities to engage the learner rather than as a means to measure knowledge. In such cases the user should be able to navigate back to the question slide and experiment with all the answer options.

    Jon,
Here's how I usually do this...

Right click on the quiz slide and choose Edit Question.
    Click on the Options tab.
Modify the settings under the "If wrong answer" heading to allow user more than one attempt.

That way, if they get the wrong answer, the system will tell them so and allow them to make another choice right away.

I don't know of a way to have this happen after the entire quiz has been taken. However, you CAN allow them to retake the entire quiz if you want (but that would include the questions they got right as well as the ones they got wrong). This is done under Quiz > Preferences on the Pass or Fail tab of the Quiz category.

Thanks for the reply. I played around with the options to allow multiple attempts, but it doesn't quite do what I'm looking for. I am trying to simulate a quiz similar to one that you might have taken in school - the user has the option to review and change their answer before submitting, but the system will not tell the user which answers are correct. Is this possible? This seems like something that should be...
