How to eliminate an-asked for superscripting in a quiz question

I am baffled. In Captivate itself, this quiz question looks fine. But when rendered to HTML5, the word Elevation is superscripted ("elevated"?) despite my not have formatted it as such.

I have attempted changing (and saving and exporting…) every possible font-related format, only to change it back to what should be "normal." Nothing. 

And to have this happen to Adobe, of all companies. The irony…

And what is that icon doing on the right side of the HTML5 page?

 

Baffled Newbie.

You are on Captivate 2017? Creating a responsive project with Fluid Boxes? Which Theme? Which font?

That icon normall indicates that the text is overflowing. This happened at which resolution?
