How do I turn my buttons into total active and zero inactive?

I don't see a timing tab for this button.  Just "Properties" and then underneath, Style, Actions and Options.

It is not a tab, it is a Timing Properties panel. Look at the top, the 'tab' should be next to the Properties title. If you don't see it, open the panel with the Window menu.

    Two possible work flows:

    • You can drag the Pause line (thin vertical line to the right of the Pause symbol) to the right
    • Use the Timing Properties panel, and type in the number of seconds for the Pause at....

During the inactive part the button remains visible but is disabled.

Hi Lily... quick FYI after the fact.  For some odd reason my timing panel was hidden.  Totally by accident I pressed the Properties button a couple times and the timing panel re-appeared right next to properties.  Can't explain it but I wanted to document it for the benefit of those people surfing these forums looking for answers in the future.

Thanks again for your valuable and patient assistance!!!!!

    Regards.

I wrote in an answer that if a panel is hidden, you can always show it using the Windows menu. You are using the Newbie UI, which means that Captivate is controlling what you see, instead of having control yourself which can be done with the Expert UI. That is one of the reasons I never revert to the Newbie UI unless I have to give a basic Captivate training. I don't like to be controlled by software

Click on that dividing line in the center and drag to the right.

Alternatively, you can look at the timing tab.

When I said the Timing tab, I mean to configure the pause after part to match the slide time as shown below:
