How to get the current slide number in Captivate 9?

Using Cap 9.

Is there a system variable containing the current slide number?

I am building a quiz with a drag and drop interaction in the pool of questions. Naturally, the built in Question x of y object isn't included so I have to build a replacement of some sort. Found a few old posts on this subject but the solutions suggested don't seem to work with the current version of Captivate.
