How to hide playback controls on start page

Cp 2019 11.5.1.499 on Windows 10Pro 64bit

 

When I use Cp's playback controls, they inevitably appear on the start page of my published project. Does anyone know a way to prevent this?

    Please update at least to 11.5.5.553.

    I suspect that you mean that the static start screen with the Play button has also the playbar if you use it? I never use a default playbar, but I learned from another user that it will appear indeed. Although I have been looking for a workaround (like hiding it on the first page) there seems not to be a way to hide it on that start screen. Maybe insert a poster image, to make that appearance less visible? Is the playbar in overlay or not?

    Maybe insert a poster image, to make that appearance less visible?  Yes, as a last resort I could do this.

     

    Is the playbar in overlay or not? In either case, the plaback controls appear.

     

    I used to build custom nav for all my projects but then found that the work to do it well was not worth the time. Clients didn't see the value or even notice in many cases.

    Default playbar is only a good choice for pure linear courses, which may the case for you. I seldom have a linear course.
