How to highlight a smart shape in Captivate 8 until the slide runs?!

Hi

I'm using some smart shapes as buttons on a screen. How do I highlight a shape until the slide linked to it runs? Any ideas?


I'm new to Captivate.

Can you post a screenshot of the stage and the timeline to give some more details? What do you mean by 'highlight', how do you see that? Is the 'slide linked to it' realized by a button that has 'Jump to slide' as action? A lot is very confusing in your question, sorry for all the questions. Can you also post the exact version number?
