    Hi there

There is no way to "import HTML files" into Captivate. Because you author elements inside Captivate and export out either SWF or HTML5 content. But you could add additional files to the folder where that HTML5 content ends up. Then link from Captivate to the files if you like. Same for the JS.

Perhaps if you could better articulate exactly what you are wanting to achieve, one of us could offer a more detailed description of how you might accomplish the goal.

    Cheers... Rick

I was given classes or modules in a folder structure that contains audio, flash, foundations, graphics, INC, modules and xvideo folders and withing those folders I have gif, html, swf, flv and xml files. The modules each have there own folders so it seems like it is pretty orderly. I have never used Captivate. I hate to start from scratch if it could be imported.

As mentioned above.  You cannot import HTM files.

There is some facility within Advanced Actions to use JavaScript but you'd need to be setting that up within Captivate not just importing it.  You might be able to have your JS set up as functions in a separate file and then call those functions from within Advanced Actions.

If you can separate out the audio files and graphics from this other content, then you can import those elements to Captivate slides.  But it's still going to amount to recreating the content from scratch inside the Captivate environment.

Sorry we cannot tell you what you want to hear but that's the truth.
