How to increase the Captivate red box for software simulation and video demo?

Hi,

Can anyone let me know if there's a way to increase the size of the red box. As you can see from the screenshot, even though I chose "snap to window" the red box isn't able to cover the entire screen that I want to capture. I checked the Adobe help site https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/using/record-software-simulations.html and looks like I could choose screen area or application, and from there customize size, but I don't see those options in my Captivate. I'd really appreciate anyone who's looking into this issue! Thanks!

Yes, you'll have to record this in a separate file, than rescale (with quality loss, always!) that project to the same resolution as the present project. After that you'll be able to copy/paste the recorded slides to the existing project. The pages you were referring to were about a new software simulation project.

How big is the screen you want to capture? Maximum in CP is 3200x3200px.

Either you choose a custom size, after choosing Application and check 'Snap to Window'. This is what happened apparently on your screenshot, where the Browser window snapped to the set size in px. BUT I suspect you are adding recording slides in an existing project, right? In that case you can only capture in the size for that project, which is in this case 1024x627px.

Yes, I'm adding it in an existing learning project. So in this case, how do I capture the entire screen in my project? Do I create a separate software simulation project and copy the slides to my existing project?
