How to Make Smart Shapes Hint Transparent on Hover?

How do you make a smart shape button transparent on hover? I set it to transparent in it's normal state, but then when I hover it keeps showing a gradient. I just want it transparent so I can display hints when the user hovers over an image.

Thanks,

Angela

Why not use a click box? Which version do you use? I am asking this, because in 8 you can change the 3 states of a shape button, either in the Object Style Manager or in its Properties panel.

The only reason I can imagine why you would prefer a shape button over a click box (which can show hint/success/failure as well) is that you want to have the shape button on a master slide or timed for the rest of the project, which is not possible with a click box.

Hi, I am using v.8. I will use whatever makes it happen. I didn't know about Click Boxes. I am new to Captivate. This works great. Thank you.

Can you check also if you are on the latest version of 8: 8.0.1.242?
