Hi Team,
I want to know how to modify the hover color (usually grey in color) of the Quiz slide - answer options.

We have a requirement to change the grey to blue - as per brand guideline, when user mouse-over on answer options. Kindly help.

Thank you!

Regards,

Pragadesh

    Correct answer Lilybiri

Version 11.5.5.553 is my preferred work version. Too many bugs and restrictions both in 11.8 and 12.

No, if I had a free solution I would have mentioned it, the widget I mentioned is the only one I ever suggest. Know that I have explored quizzes in depth, have written around 50 blog posts about that topic.

If you use custom quiz slides, you could create another hover state but with the default question slides that is not possible AFAIK.

    Hi @Pragadesh Leo ,

[Upate] Modifying my response a bit:

The steps are for Captivate 12, should you upgrade it soon.

    Thanks for your query.

You can change the hover colors on the Answer options in Captivate 12. Here's how:

    1. Add a quiz slide, for example, Multiple choice.
    2. Select an answer.

    3. Select Done.

    4. Select an option.

    5. In the States section, select Show.

    6. Select Hover in the States panel.

    7. In the Appearance section, change the properties of the Hover state.

    8. When you preview the slide and hover over the answer options, the hover color on an option changes.

Please try the steps and let us know if they've solved your query.

    Thanks,

    Saurav

@Saurav_Ghosh  I asked which version the OP was using and it was 11.5. I knew that this was one of the improvements in version 12, but too much is still missing in that version even for quizzes. Question pools is just one of the examples.

Thanks, Lieve. Yes, question pools is something we're working on.

Are you using version 12 or an older version? I can only answer for all versions before 12. It never has been possible to change that color except by using an external widget CpExtra. That widget by InfoSemantics -Australia is not free but has so many features to extend Captivate that it is more than worthwhile the cost. There is a trial version.

Thanks for your quick response. Most of us are using Captivate 11.5 version.  So I understand that the modification of hover colors of quiz answer options are not possible in this version.

    Okay 😞

Is there any other cost free possibility, an alternative that i can learn?
