Question

how to pass .swf button next function to the go to next in a regular captivate file

Basically, I created a software simulation with go to next button, the simulation is imported into a regular captivate slide.  I would like the go to next slide button to work in the regular captivate slide.

    How was the simulation created?

If you used Cp to create the simulation, exported the SWF, and imported to a new project you're seeing some recursion problems. As I understand it, Cp SWFs imported to a new project will overwrite data in the controlling project.

My suggestion would be to publish the simulation to a folder, copy to a webserver or LMS, and test to ensure expected playback.

Then, create the Cp project with a "web object learning interaction" that calls the URL of the simulation. OR

Use the LMS to manage the two projects as requirements for a single course.

If you provide some details on what you expect to accomplish or control, you'll likely receive additional comments and recommendations.
