How to place an entire software simulation into a responsive project

I have a 10 second software simulation which I would like to place inside of a responsive project (about 4 minutes).

1.  How can I do this?

2. Should I output this in SWF or HTML5?  I don't need to record scores or identities.  I just need people to click through the slides and also do some of the knowledge check questions.

Is that simulation interactive or not? Is it responsive or not?

If the answer to both questions is No, I would opt to open the simulation in a new window with the command Open URL, or to use a weboject and publish it separately as a movie (MP4) to a server or to YouTube.

Thanks for offering Help. However this thread is rather old. With the present dual situation where both Captivate Classic and New Captivate are able to create sims, the answer is not that simple anymore as it used to be 8 years ago.

Hmmm, if you had captured those software simulation slides inside the responsive project, they would have been responsive. Moreover they would have had the same resolution (size in pixels). If the software simulation was created as a normal project, you will have troubles with both the resolution and the non-responsiveness. If it is a pure demonstration, Rod's proposition is perhaps the best way, but you'll have to check all the breakpoint views!

    Hi Lily:

Inside the responsive project, there's a slide with a button that says "click here to see a simulation". I need to have the simulation activated when someone presses that button and then return back to the responsive project.

Perhaps I'm not approaching this problem correctly?

I was asked to insert a simulation into this responsive project after the project was completed. The slide with the simulation trigger button was inserted days after everything else was completed.

    Responsive projects cannot use SWF.

Your best option is probably to have the simulation published to MP4 and insert that into your Responsive project,
