Question

How to report completion to LMS without quiz on branching module

Hi helpful folk,

I have a project in adobe captivate 8 which has over 100 slides, many branches and does not have a quiz.

There is also no definitive end slide, the user can go round and round, repeat things, or choose to take different branches - however I want to report to the LMS (using SCORM 1.2) that they are complete after they have completed just a few task or possibly even give the user the option (via a button) to say when they are happy that they have done enough.

I can see I have the option to use % slide vies of number of slide views and/or passing of a quiz.

Without having a quiz of clear criteria for slide completion, is there another way? E.g. can I present the user with a button that when pressed tells the LMS that the user has completed the module?

Thanks for any help or thoughts...

What about this 'simple' solution: have one scored object on an end slide and make sure by custom navigation that all users can reach that end slide only after having visited at least once all slides of the branch that they followed? Then you can require a Pass score equal to the score of that object.

Thanks Lilybiri,

Please could you explain briefly how I can create a scored object?

Add a button, look at Reporting, check it and add a score.
