How to reset audio after clicking other buttons

I have a slide with intro audio on the slide itself, and several buttons that when clicked play other audio files. Everything works as it should, and clicking a new button stops all other audio (as configured in advanced action).

My question is related to resetting the audio when the button is clicked a second time. When I click a button, then click another, then click the first one again, I would like the audio to start back from the beginning. Currently the audio just picks up where it left off the first time I clicked the button.

Any ideas on what to do?

    OK.  That's weird.

Well something else you can try is to attach the audio clips to objects on the slide timeline that are hidden and just use the button actions to SHOW these objects at the same time as HIDE all other similar objects.  This will mean that when the object is shown it will play its attached audio but will stop when hidden.

See if that approach gets it working the way you want in SCORM Cloud.

Are you publishing for HTML? If so, lots of us are having the same issue:

HTML5 audio issue: Multiple play audio

    Triggered audio stops playing

RH-86, yes I'm publishing for HTML. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one having this issue although I wish none of us were.

I used Rod's workaround above and it worked for me. It's more work to set up and not as simple as it should be, but at least it works.

When you set up the Advanced Action for each button to Play Audio, do you make it the SECOND action line and have an Action to Stop Triggered Audio as the FIRST action line?

This will usually stop all other audio clips being triggered by Advanced Actions at that moment so that the coast is clear to play the audio you want from that click.  Normally this would mean that any of these buttons configured this way would start playing their audio from the beginning again.

    Thanks for your reply, Rod!

I do have a Stop Triggered Audio action listed first, followed by the Play Audio action.

To further confuse matters, the audio works fine when I preview it, but when I preview in ScormCloud is when I experience the issue.
