How to resolve issue of Running Adobe Captivate on Laptop with Vista

I have laptop with Vista Business with 2 GB RAM. I have licence version of Adobe Captivate 4.0. After Installing the same on my laptop, and running it for first time, it notified me that "The Flash Player for Microsoft Internet Explorer, is not installed or its an older version. You will automatically be redirected to the Adobe website to download the latest Flash Player.  Pleae note that Adobe Captivate cannot ne used until the Flash Player is installed".

Now even after installing the latest Flash Player from Adobe website and then reopening the Adobe Captivate 4.0, again I am getting the same message mentioned above. Please suggest me the solution. I do not have higher version of Adobe Captivate with license.

That version of Captivate was never built to work with any Flash Player version later than about Flash Player 8 or 9.  Now we are up to about Flash Player 19.

There was a patch released several years ago to allow Captivate 4 to get around this limitation, but I do not know if it is still available.  You may need to search for it.
