How to Resolve Opening PowerPoint within Captivate4

Has anyone ever tried to create a new project by selecting from MS Powerpoint?

I am using Captivate 4, Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2003. The PowerPoint presentation has 43 slides and it was created by someone else who claims they never had a problem opening it within Captivate 4.

When I try to complete this task, Captivate freezes after it seems to succeed in opening the PowerPoint presentation. Over and over again...(I have lots of hard drive space and 2 G memory...should be enough, no?)

As an experiment, I created a much smaller PowerPoint presenation--only 10 slides. Followed the same procedures to bring it into Captivate 4. No problem! No freezing. I could edit the presentation within Captivate with no problems.

Unfortunately, I am expected to do the same with this 43-slide presentation and make certain edits.

Has anything like this happened to anyone?
