HP EliteBook 840 G5 with 16.0 of GB/ Captivate 2019 Crashes

Good evening all,

I am working on a project in Adobe Captivate 2019. The project is about 100 slides long consisting of images and text only. Every time I try a preview or publish the project, Captivate crashes with an error message stating " A fatal error has occured and the app is being terminated.........Please restart Adobe captivate". Devestating to say the least after working on an +100 slide project!

I have tried placing files in different locations and restarting the computer all together but no luck. My computer is an HP EliteBook 840 G5 with 16.0 of GB. Has anyone else had this issue?

I don't know if this situation applies to you or not but when you use a computer that is managed by a corporate IT department, it often has folders that mimic local folders but in fact store their data in your company's Sharepoint system. Unfortunately, this includes the files you work on in Captivate as well as several system files. The solution is to run Captivate as an Administrator. Right-click your Captivate icon and select Run As Administrator. If this doesn't work for you, partner with your IT department. They can often grant admin rights to just one application so that you can run it as an administrator.
