HTML 5 Animations

Hello all,

I have an OAM file that I am trying to import into my Captivate project, I was hoping to insert the animation as a background. However, it appears that once I bring in the animated image, it takes precedent and you cannot add buttons on top or anything like that.  Is there a way to use the animation as a background and be able to add other characters on top of the animation that people can interact with?  Or am I stuck having to have very small animations on screen and add other material around it?  Is there a guide anywhere that describes the what can and cannot be done with OAM animations in Captivate?

By default animations are always on to in the z-order. You can try to overrule this by changing a setting in the AdobeCaptivate.ini file, line 7, by default it is: UseWidget7 = 0. Change that to UseWidget7=1.

However it can never be a real 'background'. Buttons will not be able to pause the animation. Why do you want buttons on top of it? The animation will even play when you set the On Enter action to Pause which normally pauses everything except animations.

Thank you, I will give that a shot.  My client wants to have the background animated, it is just a simple animation of clouds moving and an airplane flying by in the sky.

Hmmm... as a former professor I wonder whether that is increasing or decreasing learner efficienty. Sorry for that comment.
