Question

HTML5 OAM animation always on top. Can you change this?

Hi,

I'm using Captivate 9 on a Mac and have imported a flash animation saved out as as an oam file. I would like to add some text over the animation, but when I add it it always sits at the bottom of the stack. I read in an older post about adding/changing UseWidget7 = 1 to the AdobeCaptivate.ini file. I tried that, but it didn't work. Is there a way to change the order of the imported HTML5 animation so that it doesn't always appear on top?

Thanks,

Richard

An OAM is based on Canvas output, not on Flash... just a tip. Animations typically are indeed on top of the stack, reason why I always make the background layer of the OAM transparent.

Could you give the reference to that 'old' post?

    Hi Lilybiri,

I think the post that I saw was from here: Captivate 7 - HTML5 Output and Interactions - coming to the front

I realize this is talking about Captivate 7 and I'm using 9. My OAM has a full background scene in it so making the background transparent wouldn't have any effect in this case. My work around so far has been to export the last frame from the OAM animation as a still jpg/png image and add that onto the end of the timeline. However there is a clear jump where it transitions from the OAM file to the static image background. Its ok I suppose, but I'm sure the client will notice it.

    Thanks for your help though.
