HTML5 output Problems

Hi, we have big troubles with the html5 output of cp9 by streaming in safari. Contents of the slides are not synchronized (mp4 with mp3 and other contents) or completely missing. Loading of slides and synchronization of the course takes too long (up to 5 min for init) or the course hang up. The course was also tested with other training developing software and worked fine. We use efront as our lms and troubleshoot already without any result - no problems from the lms provider side. Could you investigate the failures in the html5 output? Maybe an offline player app with download function interfacing to the LMS would solve these issues for ever :-). Please note that our customers need working courses on Ipad and highly appreciate an offline function. We are still one step behind with the actual options concerning Ipad courses. Is something planned from your side? How could we improve the reliability of our cp9 courses published in efront? Thanks for your help, Harry

You say, "The course was also tested with other training developing software and worked fine." What does that mean? Tested with another LMS? Or you created a demo like this with some other authoring program?

I assume you tested with another LMS and it 'worked fine'...so the issue would certainly seem to lie with eFront.

Have you tried your piece on the SCORM Cloud?

Scorm Cloud SCORM Cloud - A simpler way to deliver e-learning - SCORM

If it works there, that's another pointer to the LMS.

WHY their system may be delivering the course 'slowly'...I don't know. Could it be the server/connection where the LMS is hosted?

OR could it be a bandwidth problem on your end? Are you testing over a fast connection?

    Dear Erik,

The course was tested by another authoring tool as well as the LMS. eFront said, that the output of the Captivate HTML5 might be the problem and i think so too because they worked successfully with HTML5 files from other authoring tools which provide also player apps.

so, I'm not alone ;-) It's really annoying... I hope Adobe will focus on that in the next release... Otherwise they will not be able to compete...

Harry, I have no answers for you, but it seems you misunderstand something about these forums. The majority of people helping here are users like you, not Adobe employees.

@Lilybiri: Thank you, sorry for that... It's not so easy to get the right support on adobe page ;-)

I understand, you are not the first to complain.
