HTML5 text entry box variable doesn't update

Hello all- so when I create a text entry box in Captivate 6, associate a user variable with the TEB, the variable updates fine when I preview in browser. Whatever I type in the text box automatically updates the variable as expected. But when I preview as HTML5 Output, the variable doesn't update. I need to capture user input in a text entry box and publish using HTML5, is there something I am missing to utilize TEB input when publishing to HTML5?

    Hi there,

    Welcome to Adobe Forums.

    Please make sure you are using a HTML5 compatible browser else it is not going to work.

    I have successfully tested this with IE9.

    I'm using Captivate 7 and I'm having the same problem with Internet Explorer 10 and Google Chrome.
